What Is a STEM Parade? Join us on October 14th for our 2nd STEM Parade!
On November 5, 2022, the The Maryland STEM Festival ran a successful parade in downtown Frederick. The parade was concluded at Baker Park with a pop-up Festival featuring numerous STEM booths. The Festival is organizing the second parade for October 14, 2023 which will again conclude with a pop-up STEM Festival. It's just like any other parade, but OURS creatively showcases the excitement around and career-viability of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math! The 2nd parade will launch from West Frederick Middle School and wind its way to Baker Park, where there will be a pop-up festival showcasing various STEM-related activities and organizations! Check back as we post details!
There are countless ways to participate:
- Holding signs, banners and posters supporting STEM
- Wearing STEM related clothes , hat, and costumes –
- Get TWO uses out of your Halloween costume if it was in any way STEM-related!
- Decorating your vehicle
- Holding, carrying, or guiding STEM artifacts such as robots, drones, or microscopes
STEM is all about being creative, so come up with an original to show why you love Science, Technology, Engineering or Math!
