DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence is changing the way we learn\, create\, communicate\, and solve problems. Join Wicomico Public Library for a four-part virtual series during the Maryland STEM Festival designed for tweens and teens ages 11–17. \n\n\n\nThrough interactive activities\, live demonstrations\, discussions\, and hands-on challenges\, participants will explore how AI works\, how chatbots are trained\, why AI sometimes gets things wrong\, and what responsible AI use looks like. We’ll examine real-world examples of artificial intelligence and discuss the opportunities and challenges these technologies create for our future. \n\n\n\nThis is an on-line event \n\n\n\nParticipants may attend individual sessions or the entire series. Sessions will be recorded and made available on the library website. Saturdays: 10/17\, 10/24\, 11/7\, and 11/14 at 2:00.

DESCRIPTION:Check out how “Hive Intelligence” works. Suit up in a bee suit at our “Hive Dive”.   Check on the queen. Make sure she is laying new eggs. Hopefully spot her. Check on honey production. Give them more room to produce more honey and remove any frames that are capped off fully with honey. Check on the resources and overall numbers for the hive. You’ll gain a new perspective of what is going on in the hive\, what the bees are doing\, and details about their work. Optional: Learn about natural burial and how it is beneficial to the environment.
