What makes a Hybrid Vehicle go!

Description:

The topic we will cover is electromagnetism and how it relates to hybrid vehicle drivetrains. We will do a basic demonstration of what electromagnetism is and how to perform an experiment at home with simple materials (a piece of wire, a nail and a small battery). Then build upon this concept as it relates to the electric motor / generators in hybrid vehicle drivetrains using actual Toyota hybrid transaxles. It will be geared for middle to high school aged students.
