Moon Phases & Craters

Description:
Learn more about the moon during this interactive workshop designed for children ages 4-10 years old with an adult. To fully participate in the hands-on part of the workshop, you will need the following items gathered and prepared in advance: a pie tin filled with 1” of flour and dusted with cocoa powder on top; one large towel; several small spherical objects, e.g. marbles, golf balls, pebbles, etc.; a pencil; a ruler; a sheet of paper; a paper plate; a plastic knife, fork, or spoon; eight chocolate cookies w/ white cream filling.

Robot Pumpkin Smash Virtual Meetup

Description:
Join the Robo-Lions, a team of students, as they fire up their robots for an online smash hit: Robot Pumpkin Smash! Find out how many times it takes a robot to crack open a pumpkin. They will include some "at home" activity suggestions with simple materials. This program is a collaboration between PIE3 (Partnership in Inspiration for Engineering Education and Entrepreneurship) and Carroll County Public Library.

Zoom login information will be emailed to participants one hour before the program starts.
