Following the Sun to Capricorn: Where Will It Rise and Set?

Start Date of Event: 09/22/2020

End Date of Event: 12/22/2020

Event Times: Weekly

Description:
This is a statewide GWC STEAM InVenTure. You will make weekly observations by photographing the sun’s rising and/or setting along an horizon near you. We will seek answers to the question: “Where does the sun rise and/or set on its journey south to the Tropic of Capricorn?”

You choose your horizon. It may be either a row of trees, rooftops, flat land, a body of water or anyplace you can see the sunrise and/or sunset along a border/horizon line. You will be documenting and sharing online your notes, sketches and photos.

This is an InVenTure in discovering, investigating, simulating and creating opportunities (DISCO™) to learn about the sun’s journey south to the Tropic of Capricorn.

More details and instructions will be available when you register.
