Hunting for the Moon Across MD – A GWC STEAM InVenTure

Start Date of Event: 09/26/2020

End Date of Event: 11/01/2020

Event Times: Time varies

Description:
Join Mahrookh, the Moon Hunter in this storyline DISCO™ – Discovering, Investigating, Simulating and Creating Opportunities to learn about the Moon InVenTure.

Can you find the Moon? Where is it? When will you see it during the daytime? When will you see it at night? Are Moonrise and Moonset times the same across Maryland?

This InVenTure begins with the quarter moon phase on International Observe the Moon Night, September 26, and goes through the full moon phase October 31.

You will learn how to develop a moon observation schedule to help you hunt for the moon in the sky near you. Then, document and post online your observation notes, sketches and photos.

You will also explore impacts the Moon has on people and investigate the Moon as a potential habitat for humans.
