WPL STEM FEST: Catapult

Join us for a Virtual STEM Festival! This year, we are hosting one video a week, each with a different fun experiment to try at home! Your local Wicomico Library branch will have "Take and Make" kits that contain the items you will need to complete the experiment along with us. Starting October 2nd, every Friday morning at 10:30 am, a new video will premiere on Youtube.

STEAM at Home: Halloween Steam

Event Times: The instruction video for the program will go up on the library's Facebook page at 10:00 A.M. and will be available to view at any time afterwards.

Description:
Join us in virtual Exploration Point for some spooky HallowSTEAM activities! Use static electricity to make a floating ghost, make a paper spider web, and explore perception to create a Jack-O-Lantern optical illusion!

Craft kits are available for this program! After registering, participants will receive an email informing them when and where they may pick up a bag of craft supplies through Express Pickup! On the day of the program, watch the pre-recorded video to learn how to make your Halloween STEAM crafts using your kit!

Craft kits will be available through Express Pickup at the Eldersburg Branch.

All attendees need to register.

Camp in a Bag: STEAM

Pick-up on Friday, October 9 from 8:30am-4:30pm at the Robert Moton Center (parking lot) 300 S Center St. Westminster, MD 21157

In the reusable bag is everything you need to host your very own adventure at home. Inside each bag, we have prepared instructions and all the materials you need for five themed activities including Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Your Camp in a Bag can be picked-up Friday at the Robert Moton Center from 8:30am-4:30pm. Call the Recreation & Parks office when you arrive at 410-386-2103 and we will bring the Camp in a Bag out to your vehicle.
