DESCRIPTION:Visit Davis Library between November 2nd and November 21st to pick up your challenge supply bag and entry form! Use the items in the bag to create a building of your choice. Drop off your entry anytime between December 5th-9th. Entries will be on display during our Design Challenge Showcase on December 10th for voting. For middle and high school students. Challenge bags are while supplies last.Things to know about your design entry:1. You’re welcome to use any type of glue or tape to hold your structure together and paint\, markers\, or crayons to decorate. All other materials must come from the challenge supply bag.2. You can design any building. Be creative and dream big.3. DESCRIPTION:Step into the Fizzy\, Fun\, and Slime Lab\, where young scientists explore the fascinating world of chemistry through colorful\, hands-on experiments! Throughout this interactive STEM experience\, children will investigate scientific concepts such as chemical reactions\, states of matter\, polymers\, absorption\, and cause-and-effect while creating projects they can see\, touch\, and test.Students will experiment with rainbow fizz reactions\, engineer erupting ice cream cone volcanoes\, explore the properties of super absorbent materials while making water bead stress balls\, and investigate polymer science through an assortment of ooey-gooey slime creations. Each activity encourages children to make observations\, ask questions\, predict outcomes\, and discover how everyday materials can produce surprising scientific results. Designed to make science approachable\, memorable\, and fun\, the Fizzy\, Fun\, and Slime Lab combines STEM learning\, sensory exploration\, experimentation\, and creative problem-solving in an energetic laboratory-style experience. It’s the perfect opportunity for curious young scientists to get messy\, think critically\, and discover just how exciting science can be!
