Join Wicomico Public Library for a four-part virtual series during the Maryland STEM Festival designed for tweens and teens ages 11–17. \nThrough interactive activities\, live demonstrations\, discussions\, and hands-on challenges\, participants will explore how AI works\, how chatbots are trained\, why AI sometimes gets things wrong\, and what responsible AI use looks like. We’ll examine real-world examples of artificial intelligence and discuss the opportunities and challenges these technologies create for our future. \nParticipants may attend individual sessions or the entire series. Sessions will be recorded and made available on the library website. Saturdays: 10/17\, 10/24\, 11/7\, and 11/14 at 2:00.

Industries represented include cybersecurity\, virtual reality\, veterinary science\, psychiatry\, public health\, and so much more. Students do not have to be experts or already active in fields of STEM to attend. The fair is a welcoming and engaging way for students to explore diverse interests and further their academic careers. Registration is free\, but we ask students to pre-register so that we can pass on important information.
