Night of Cyber

11-7 • 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm • Howard County

7178 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, Maryland 21046

The Central Maryland Chapter of the Information System Security Association is hosting the 3rd Annual Night of Cyber to promote the future of the Cybersecurity Profession. The program will start with the State Superintendent speaking, followed by representatives from NSA and Maryland Department of Commerce. After the speakers, HS students will be able to discuss the Cybersecurity field with the professionals and educators. The format is similar to a job, but is informal, casual event. We are expected over 200 HS students to attended the event. Organizations that have participated in this event include JHU Applied Physics Laboratory, FBI, Microsoft, Northrop, and Women in Security. We are asking you to discuss the Cybersecurity field and your position with the students.

The event also serves the kick-off for the Maryland NSA Day of Cyber School Challenge. This state-wide program will help ignite interest in cybersecurity careers among the state’s youth by enabling them to test drive cyber careers with the fully-funded online cybersecurity career exploration platform. The program is sponsored by the NSA and powered by the LifeJourney technology.
