STEM Challenge- Building Bridges

11-9 • 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm • Washington County

1 South Clifton Drive, Williamsport, MD, United States

Participants will work in teams to design and build a bridge. Bridges are everywhere and serve many different purposes. Without them, we would not be able to travel over water of any kind. Bridges are a key element to aid in transportation and economic infrastructure. Bridges may look very different, but their structural parts are similar. During this event participants will explore the structural parts of a bridge and build a prototype out of household materials. It must be freestanding and weight supporting. We will test these elements to see which bridge can hold the most weight. Come, EXPLORE, plan, and create with us!!
