Our Annual Art Contest will run from Saturday, September 10th through Saturday, October 29th. The contest is open to all Maryland Students K-12. Submissions are divided into three age categories with three format categories for each age group. We are kicking off the contest with a live event at Howard Community College on September 10th from 9 am -12 pm. There will be career panel discussion moderated by WBAL's Ava Marie, art and STEM activities for all ages. Get your face painted and take home some cool swag. The new Howard County Library Mobile STEAM classroom will be there along with NASA, the Future Makers, Games4Good, Guild of Nature Illustrators, STEAM your Dreams, and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Art as Applied to Medicine,   County Executive Calvin Ball will be dropping by and we will have a video welcome from First lady Yumi Hogan.ava

The Maryland STEM festival is a month-long celebration of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics designed to advance STEM education. Students have the opportunity to experience engineering, mathematics, science, and technology at work through curriculum provided by regional schools, colleges, and corporations. All events are focused on advancing math and science and encouring students to pursue STEM careers.
