Ripen the Meristem, Inc. (RTM) is excited to invite families throughout Cambridge, Dorchester County, and surrounding communities to our FREE "Eats & Experiments STEM" Series! Join us for four evenings of hands-on scientific discovery, delicious refreshments, and family fun at the Dorchester County Public Library.

Led by a real scientist, each event will feature a different exciting experiment that allows participants to explore scientific concepts by making observations, testing ideas, and discovering how science works in everyday life.

Whether you are an aspiring scientist, love creating things, or simply enjoy asking "Why?" and "What if?", this series offers an opportunity to explore science in a welcoming, engaging environment. And adults and children alike are welcome to join the fun!

All experiments, materials, and refreshments are provided at no cost. Advance registration is required. We look forward to welcoming you and your family. Come hungry for food, science, and discovery!

Each event will feature a different scientific activity, so families are encouraged to register for as many sessions as they would like!

Thurs, 10/8 | "Make Slime & Test Strange Materials"
Thurs, 10/22 | "Make Color-changing, Foaming, and Fizzing Chemistry"
Wed, 11/11 (Veteran's Day) | "Make & Test Candy and Food Experiments"
Sun, 11/15 | "Extract Real DNA & Test It With Forensic Tools"

The activities will be supervised and conducted with guidance from Dr. Chenere Ramsey, a chemist & neuroscientist. Participants will receive instructions on the appropriate handling of materials and equipment. Parents and responsible adults are expected to help supervise small children and ensure they follow the safety instructions provided.
