The Italian Cultural Center, Maryland Public Television, and the Maryland STEM Festival are hosting a celebration of Leonardo Da Vinci and his STEM accomplishments on October 20th from 10 AM to 2 PM at the new BIT Center.
This FREE event is being held with the release of Ken Burns' documentary about Da Vinci, which will be shown in November.
The centerpiece of the event will be the annual Da Vinci Bridge Building contest. The event is open to middle and high school students. Information on the contest can be found here.
There will be various STEM activities, a STEM Magician, face painting, food, and more. Expect R2D2 to make an appearance.
