Calling all young innovators! On November 2nd and 3rd from 2-4 PM, we invite children and their families to dive into the exciting world of engineering at “Engineering Explorers: Hands-On STEM Adventures!” This two-day STEM Festival is tailored to engage both preschoolers (ages 3-5) and school-aged children (ages 6-10) with a range of hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and encourage problem-solving.
Day 2 (November 3, 2-4 PM) shifts focus to school-aged children (ages 6-10), where they will dive deeper into engineering challenges, including:
Structural Engineering: Design and build a bridge or structure that can hold weight using materials like craft sticks and cardboard.
Aerospace Engineering: Create and test paper airplanes, learning how aerodynamics affect flight.
Environmental Engineering: Build a water filtration device and see how different layers of materials can clean water.
Chemical Engineering: Mix up some homemade slime and learn about chemical reactions and polymers.
With plenty of opportunities for families to participate, “Engineering Explorers” promises a fun, interactive learning experience that brings science and engineering to life for children of all ages!
