Kids become engineers tasked with building a structure strong enough to withstand a blast of "ghost wind" (a fan). It introduces basic engineering, problem-solving, and teamwork in a fun, Halloween-themed way. Introduce the idea of engineers designing structures to handle forces like wind, explore the materials at their disposal, plan/sketch based on different discussed criteria (base, height, shape, etc.), then build their structure. A fan will be used to test the strength of their building. Afterwards, discuss simple engineering ideas and key takeaways from the challenge. Extra challenge: design it to be a haunted house.
