Join us for a virtual information session hosted by program director Dr. Ben Shariati to discover how UMBC’s Cybersecurity graduate program can accelerate your career. Whether you are looking to step into leadership with our Master of Science (M.S.) degree or sharpen specific professional skills with a graduate certificate, this is your opportunity to learn how our program equips you with the skills that high-paying employers demand.
Plus, a program alumnus will be co-hosting this session, giving you a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from someone who has successfully navigated the program and leveraged it in the field.
Da Vinci Day is the BIT Center’s annual STEM and arts festival for middle and high school students. Schools, community organizations, and local businesses come together for a day of hands-on workshops, engineering challenges, guest speakers, and interactive exhibits inspired by Leonardo da Vinci. The event encourages students to develop creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while exploring the connections between science, technology, engineering, art, and Italian culture.
Families will explore concepts simple machines stations together. Families (age 7 and under with adult). Allow 60 mins. Ticket required.
Drop-in to use the equipment in the A/V Studio! Record and mix music, create and edit movies, or just sit and draw on our iPads. All of this with the help of a STEAM Instructor. Registration is not required, and walk-ins are welcome. Grades 6-12.

A six-week course for ages 10 to 14 designed to spark interest in programming through guided instruction by experienced high school mentors.
Network and socialize with fellow biopharma, academic, and government professionals at our Maryland Bionetworking Summit—a bioscience-focused series designed to highlight our area’s unique life science ecosystem and to promote interactions between its diverse stakeholders. This in-person evening event will consist of a networking social with refreshments, followed by a talk at the Biomedical Sciences and Engineering (BSE) Education Facility at the Universities at Shady Grove in Rockville featuring our keynote speaker, Ruth Cheng, Ph.D.

Join us as we explore the wonders of science through four exciting activities:

🧬 Extract Real DNA & Test It With Forensic Tools — November 15
Each session will feature a different hands-on experiment led by a real scientist, Chenere P. Ramsey, PhD, giving children and adults an opportunity to learn, discover, and have fun together!
