Join Howard EcoWorks on Saturday, September 26, for the Holly Hills Fall Festival, a family-friendly open house celebrating two years of stewardship at our 16-acre headquarters in Glenwood. The festival will feature hands-on activities and demonstrations, including a biochar burn demonstration (weather permitting), a morning native tree nut and seed collection activity, a tree maintenance workshop, and a volunteer forest and tree maintenance activity. Enjoy snacks and birthday cake as we celebrate two years at Holly Hills!
Throughout the day, visitors can explore the property through self-guided tours, check out our plans for the future, connect with local conservation partners, and shop the Seeds of Change Native Plant Nursery featuring Mid-Atlantic ecotype native perennials, shrubs, and trees.

Join Morgan State University for an exciting day of hands-on STEM activities, games, demonstrations, and workshops at the 2026 STEM Expo featuring OIC of America STEMFest. Free and open to K–12 students, families, and community groups, the event will connect participants with DMV-area innovation, industry, STEM careers, and educational pathways. Attendees can also enjoy free giveaways and guided campus tours while exploring the possibilities of STEM.
Game Escape is back!
Last year, more than 250 people filled the Parkway to play locally made indie games and meet the people creating them. On September 26, Game Escape returns with 14 independent games created by developers in and around Maryland, plus live video game music from the Baltimore Gamer Symphony Orchestra Small Ensembles.
No controllers required. We’ll have those. Just show up and play.

The Hackathon is an event where participating kids compete in cyber challenges including python coding, password cracking, internet browsing, and more! The target ages for the event are 8-18, and no previous coding knowledge is necessary! Participants will compete to earn swag and prizes as they learn about a broad variety of cyber security topics!

Da Vinci Day is the BIT Center’s annual STEM and arts festival for middle and high school students.
