Join the LOAD Robotics team to make fun LEGO® robots. Grades 4-8.
A Maryland STEM Festival event.
Robots have been a fascinating part of both popular culture and technology for centuries… even from well before the use of the word “robot” itself! Today, they pervade the worlds of both science fiction and science fact, from “Robocop” to rovers on Mars. Join us as astronomer Rich Isaacman leads us on a journey from the earliest fictitious robots to the sophisticated electronic creatures currently exploring the very outermost reaches of our Solar System.
Join the HCCS FTC and FLL robotics teams for an exciting Robot Showcase presented as part of the Maryland STEM Festival. HCCS robotics teams will demonstrate their robots, introduce their missions for the 2026–2027 FIRST competition season, and offer interactive STEM activities. Visitors can meet team members, learn about FIRST robotics, and discover how students design, build, and program competition robots.
Discover, create, and play! Unleash your creativity and dive into a new adventure each week with activities inspired by STEM, arts and crafts, gaming, and more.
Students will explore the concepts of energy and electricity. They will design and build models of working electrical circuits.
Robots Smashing Pumpkins
