Explore how birds inspired modern flight technology and discover how scientists use drones today to help protect wildlife and ecosystems through hands-on experiments and interactive missions led by Aberdeen High School-Science and Mathematics Academy student and Harford Bird Club member, Tyme Anusonti-Inthra. Each child attending must register prior to the event. Weather permitting, be prepared to go outside for a portion of the program.

We will have experiential tables representing many of the Allied Health Programs available at Johns Hopkins. Students will have a chance to do an activity, ask questions and network with new people. We will also have snacks and giveaways for this free event. Students can go at their own pace, no set schedule.
Join the HCCS FTC and FLL robotics teams for an exciting Robot Showcase presented as part of the Maryland STEM Festival. HCCS robotics teams will demonstrate their robots, introduce their missions for the 2026–2027 FIRST competition season, and offer interactive STEM activities. Visitors can meet team members, learn about FIRST robotics, and discover how students design, build, and program competition robots.

At first sight, it may be hard to tell if what you see was created or altered by AI. In this session, we’ll teach you tips and tools to help you determine if an image or piece of writing was generated by AI. We’ll also discuss what tech companies like Google are doing to create systems to detect the use of AI. Senior Planet class
