This free online workshop introduces the shift from static prompts to dynamic, decision-making AI agents. We will cover key concepts behind agentic AI, including reasoning-action loops, and implement them using Python and ReACT. Through concrete examples, you will see how to build systems that can think, act, and adapt.

The Makerspace has 3D printers, button maker, sticker maker, soldering iron, sewing machine, laminator, jewelry making tools and a Chomp saw. Come have fun at the library!

Dinosaur Park offers a free Open House event from 12-4 pm on Saturday October 17th, during which the public can learn about the plants and animals that called Maryland home during the early Cretaceous Period (115 million years ago)! As part of this community science program, participants are also invited to help us make new discoveries by assisting with fossil surface collecting. Please note that there is no actual digging during this program, rather we simply scour the surface to see what new fossils have been exposed through natural erosion. This program does not require any prior registration. Participants will sign up on site. This program is entirely outdoors and weather dependent, so please keep an eye on the weather and dress appropriately. Please check the Dinosaur Park website to confirm the program is not cancelled due to weather.
This is a 4-week robotics program presented by two High School juniors at Walter Johnson High School with a passion for STEM, who have participated in the First Lego League competition for two years.
At our workshop, participants will be able to learn about FTC, the advantages of doing robotics, and how to join. They will also get to drive our competition robot from the past season.
