Summer Solstice Celebration on the DC Mall
The Maryland STEM Festival was just one of many organizations that help thousands of attendees celebrate the Summer Solstice on June 24th from 6 pm to midnight. The Smithsonian Institute and Hofstra University ran this glorious celebration. We were in the Smithsonian Art and Industry demostrating our video game, Agrownomics, and giving away horders of Festival wristbands, bookmarks, and stickers.. People of all ages tried and enjoyed Agrownomics. Many people who stopped by our table were excited to learn about the hundreds of events we will hosting starting October 13th. As they say, lines to get into the building were around the block. Some of the other groups there were Carnegie Science, ASTEROID CITY, International Dark Sky Association, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Maryland STEM Festival, NASA - Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA Solar System Ambassadors, and Port Discovery.
